Equal Justice Under Law for All Tennesseans — Born and Pre-Born: Tennessee’s Gubernatorial Candidates’ Positions


Tennessee is entering the home stretch of the primary elections. Early voting begins July 17, and Election Day is August 6. Due to gubernatorial term limits, Governor Bill Lee cannot seek reelection. Three Republican candidates are running for his seat.

Here at Abolish Abortion TN, it should come as no surprise that our #1 issue in any election is where the candidates stand on the sanctity of life. Below is a brief and to the point synopsis of where each candidate stands concerning equal justice.

Monty Fritts

  • Co-sponsored HB570 in Tennessee to abolish abortion.
  • Has stated he will continue to support equal protection laws and will not support laws that merely regulate abortion.

Marsha Blackburn

  • Every bill concerning life that Marsha Blackburn has introduced, sponsored, or voted for has protected a pregnant woman’s “right” to murder her child in the womb.
  • Holds an A+ rating from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America (SBA). SBA will not endorse or support any candidate who refuses to continue granting pregnant women legal immunity for murdering their child(ren) in the womb.

John Rose

  • Every bill concerning life John Rose has introduced, sponsored, or voted for has protected a pregnant woman’s “right” to murder her child in the womb.
  • Has an A+ Rating from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America (SBA). SBA will not endorse or support any candidate who will not continue to grant pregnant women legal immunity for murdering her child(ren) in the womb.
